Climate Change Environment and Rural Affairs Committee: Inquiry into fuel poverty

New figures released by the Welsh Government in the summer of 2019 suggested that in 2018, 155,000
househ olds² (12%) were living in fuel poverty which equates to approximately 350,000 people in
Wales. It should be noted that the vast majority of these households (130,000) are extremely
vulnerable, either disabled, elderly, or have young children in the household and 19,000 households
are still living in extreme fuel poverty.
