The Commons Energy Security and Net Zero Committee published a new report, ‘Tackling the energy cost crisis’.
In response, National Energy Action Head of Policy and Public Affairs Matt Copeland says, ‘National Energy Action welcomes the Committee’s report and its clear recognition that further action is needed to provide deeper, better targeted support.
‘We also welcome the Committee’s focus on reducing energy market debt—this must go hand in hand with efforts to make ongoing costs more affordable for financially vulnerable households.
‘We look forward to the Government’s response and urge it to prioritise further practical steps to protect those most at risk.’
