Solar PV Advice

Domestic solar PV systems convert sunlight into electricity which can be used in the home. They can help you reduce your energy bills, but it is important to understand how they work and how to get the most out of them.

Find out more about using Solar PV systems below. You can also contact the NEA Innovation and Technical Team for more information by the email technical@nea.org.uk or by calling our dedicated PV advice line on 0800 138 9023

Solar PV Advice Webinar: 22 April 2021, 7.30 pm

We are holding an online event on Zoom for anyone interested in learning more about their PV system, how to make sure PV electricity is used to best effect to lower electricity bills, and learn how to get more free advice and help from NEA to help achieve that. The event is primarily aimed at low-income householders with solar PV on their properties. During the event attendees can also hear about a project which installed battery storage to complement PV, and the Chair of 361 Community Energy will also discuss his experience with solar PV and battery storage.

Partners on the project were Gentoo, WDH and the London Boroughs of Camden and Waltham Forest, but the information is available to everyone, and we want as many people as possible to benefit from the advice materials and project findings.

The advice on these webpages was produced by NEA as part of a project called ‘Increasing self-consumption of solar PV’, funded through the Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme www.energyredress.org.uk
