Impact Report 2024-25

Over the past year, everything National Energy Action (NEA) has done has been guided by our aims: to support households in fuel poverty, raise awareness of their circumstances, and drive lasting solutions. Fuel poverty is not just about energy bills; it affects health, wellbeing, and opportunities. That’s why our work goes beyond supporting only those who come directly to us. We actively seek out the individuals and communities who are often overlooked, ensuring that no one is left behind.

We have taken significant steps forward in how we gather, understand, and share insight. By highlighting what works and identifying where improvements are needed, we are equipping partners, policymakers, and practitioners with the knowledge to make a real difference. Our training services, membership network, regional forums, bootcamps, online sessions, and national conferences all play a vital role in creating spaces where change can be discussed, shaped, and delivered.

Over the last year, our advice and events have reached more than 30,000 people. From working with local organisations to connect with marginalised communities, to supporting health professionals in engaging with patients at risk, we are proud of the impact this collaborative approach has achieved.

We continue to campaign for government programmes to reflect not only the carbon challenge, but also the urgent economic, social, and health needs of those living in fuel poverty. At the same time, NEA has been transforming from a small charity into a more dynamic, efficient, and impactful organisation, better equipped to meet the scale of the challenge ahead.

This report reflects both our progress and our determination. While we know that not everything can be achieved in a single year, the strides made so far are significant. We thank our staff, partners, and supporters for their unwavering commitment to tackling fuel poverty together. See a full list of our 2024-25 supporters here.
