EDUCATION WORKSHOP

Responsibilities, Requirements and Information

Thank you for requesting the services of National Energy Action’s Training and Education team.

Please read through the following details carefully.

It is the responsibility of the client to provide all of the facilities, items and information outlined below. If you are unable to provide any of these items or information, please contact National Energy Action before booking to discuss options and make the necessary arrangements.

  • Provide a suitable venue for the workshop
  • Inform NEA of the venue details upon booking (we will require: full venue address, named contact and telephone number). If this should change we need to be informed 2 weeks in advance.
  • Inform NEA and learners of the Health and Safety procedures (location of fire exits; evacuation procedures; toilet facilities etc)
  • Inform NEA and learners of parking facilities / arrangements

The following equipment will be required to deliver the workshop, please advise in advance if any of these items are not available so we can discuss/ make the necessary arrangements.

  • Laptop/ computer with USB port (for memory stick)
  • Projector/ smart screen to connect to the above laptop or computer
  • Projector screen or suitable wall to project onto clearly
  • Flipchart/ whiteboard or smart screen with pens
  • Paper for students to write on for each table
  • KS3 workshop – A3 paper for each table
  • KS3/4/5 – calculators available for students to use

Inform National Energy Action and learners of arrangements for lunch and refreshments. We recommend providing water in the training room as a minimum.

As our educators travel from school to school we may require you to print a small number of resources for the workshop. These will be emailed in advance.

  • It is the responsibility of the person booking the workshop to ensure that there will always be adequate members of staff in the room to monitor and deal with the behaviour of students
  • It is the responsibility of the school to ensure positive behaviour from the students and to deal with any students who are not adhering to the school policies.
  • Notify NEA of any changes that may have an effect upon the delivery
  • Give the required notice of cancellation as outlined in the ‘client confirmation’ term and conditions
