The Level 3 Award in Energy Awareness (6281-01) is designed to equip frontline workers with a strong understanding of energy advice, enabling them to effectively support householders.

This page is for booking Part One of the assessment. The simulation is a 30-minute controlled assessment, which will be observed by an assessor.

SPECIAL LEARNING REQUIREMENTS

Exam Access Arrangements (EAAs) are the reasonable adjustments that can be made for a candidate to access an assessment. This might include things like extra time, permission to use assistive technology, provision of rest breaks and so on.

We are committed to supporting all learners. Access arrangements or reasonable adjustments can be provided where appropriate, for example, for disabilities, special educational needs, or temporary illnesses.

The simulation-based assessment will be delivered online via Zoom.

Learners must have access to a quiet, private space.

A laptop or desktop computer with a separate mouse and a stable internet connection is required.

FEES

FULL ASSESSMENT – FIRST ATTEMPT
If this is your first assessment attempt, in most cases there will be no additional charge for the assessment as its included in the overall course fee, provided the assessment is completed within the agreed timeframe (typically 8 weeks, unless arranged otherwise in advance).

This also applies to funded places. Please note that funded programmes typically have fixed end dates when budgets close, so we may be unable to extend deadlines.

In some cases, separate fees may have been agreed in advance – for example, if you attended an in-person course rather than E-Learning or if you were unable to complete by the agreed deadline. If this is the case, you should be aware of this arrangement and the fees outlined below will apply. If you are unsure, please contact NEA to check.

RE-SIT ASSESSMENT
Re-sits are normally charged separately in line with the fees outlined below.

If you have received a funded place from NEA, your first re-sit attempt will also be funded, provided it is taken within the programme timeframe. Most funded programmes run on a financial year basis (1 April – 31 March), although some may differ. Where this is the case, learners will be advised of the relevant deadline. Any re-sits taken after the programme end date, or additional re-sit attempts, will be charged in accordance with the fees outlined below:

> NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANISATION - 1 PART RE-SIT (Simulation) = £55 plus VAT
> NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANISATION - 2 PART RE-SIT (Simulation and open book written assessment) = £90 plus VAT*
> COMMERCIAL ORGANISATION - 1 PART RE-SIT (Simulation) = £110 plus VAT
> COMMERCIAL ORGANISATION - 2 PART RE-SIT (Simulation and open book written assessment) = £180 plus VAT*

*Where needed, the open book assessment re-sit must be booked separately to the simulation.

CERTIFICATE FEE
A certificate fee of £58 plus VAT may also apply if not covered in original course fee. This will apply if the funded programme has ended.

CANCELLATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The exam fee is generally included in the overall course fee. As outlined in the main course booking form, the following cancellation periods / charges will apply should the learner wish to cancel their chosen exam date once booked:

· Less than one weeks notice 75% of the fee will be payable
· Less than three weeks notice 50% of the fee will be payable
· Over three weeks notice will not incur a charge
· Funded place – If you received a funded E-Learning place direct from National Energy Action, the cost of your assessment is also funded but must be taken by the deadline outlined in your course joining instructions unless otherwise agreed in advance. Any assessments taken after the deadline or re-sits may be charged. If you are unsure, please check with NEA.

If are unable to attend, please advise NEA at least three weeks prior to the exam date so your place can be re-allocated. Failure to do so can impact on funding and we may be unable to re-book a funded exam place for you. Cancellations should be made in writing.
