This is part one of the Energy Awareness 6281-01 assessment, part two will be shared with learners upon successful completion of the simulation.

The Level 3 Award in Energy Awareness (6281-01) is designed to equip frontline workers with a strong understanding of energy advice, enabling them to effectively support householders.

This page is for booking Part One of the assessment. The simulation is a 30-minute controlled assessment, which will be observed by an assessor.

Please note that learners must be enrolled on the course and have begun their learning before booking an assessment date. If you have not yet started the course or would like more information, please refer to the course outline using the link below.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE BOOKING

IMPORTANT FEES/ FUNDING NOTICE: For most learners, the first assessment attempt is included within the course fee or funding package, so there is no additional charge unless otherwise advised. Assessments must be completed within the standard eight-week course period unless an extension has been approved by NEA. For learners attending through an NEA-funded place, extensions can only be granted up to the end of the financial year in which the course was booked, as funding cannot be carried forward into a new financial year. If your course commenced in a previous financial year, please contact NEA before booking your assessment to discuss your eligibility and available options.
ABOUT THIS BOOKING: This form is to book the Simulation-Based Assessment, which is Part 1 of the assessment for the Level 3 Award in Energy Awareness 6281-01. Part 2, the Open-Book Written Assessment, will only be issued once the Simulation-Based Assessment has been successfully completed. COURSE ENROLMENT REQUIREMENT: Learners must be enrolled on the Energy Awareness 6281-01 course before booking an assessment. Without course enrolment, learners will not have access to the learning materials required for study and preparation. If you have not yet enrolled on the course, please contact trainingadmin@nea.org.uk.
REASONABLE ADJUSTMENTS AND ACCESS ARRANGEMENTS: If you require reasonable adjustments or special access arrangements for your assessment, these must be agreed and put in place before you make a booking. If arrangements have not yet been approved, please contact gill.fox@nea.org.uk at National Energy Action to discuss your requirements and arrange the appropriate support before booking. If your access arrangements have already been approved by NEA, you may proceed with your booking.

SPECIAL LEARNING REQUIREMENTS

REQUIREMENTS TO JOIN THE ONLINE ASSESSMENT

The simulation-based assessment will be delivered online via Zoom.

Candidates must complete the assessment in a quiet, private location free from distractions and interruptions.

No other individuals may be present in the room or aid during the assessment.

Candidates are responsible for ensuring that phones, notifications, and other potential disturbances are silenced and minimised for the duration of the assessment.

Candidates are expected to maintain professional conduct at all times and treat assessors/examiners with courtesy and respect throughout the assessment process.

Any behaviour considered disruptive, inappropriate, unprofessional, or which compromises the integrity of the assessment may result in the assessment being paused, terminated, or rescheduled.

FEES/ FUNDING

NON-FUNDED PLACES
• For e-learning learners, the first assessment is usually included in the course fee unless advised otherwise.
• Assessments must be completed within the standard 8-week course duration, unless an extension has been approved by NEA.
• If a re-sit is required, additional assessment fees will apply. Further details are outlined below.
• For face-to-face courses, assessment fees and payment arrangements will be agreed separately.
FUNDED PLACES
• For e-learning learners, the first assessment is usually included in the course funding and therefore free of charge unless advised otherwise.
• Assessments must be completed within the standard 8-week course duration, unless an extension has been approved by NEA.
• If a re-sit is required, the first re-sit attempt may also be funded if completed within the timeframe and terms of the funded programme.
• Any re-sits taken after funding period has ended will incur a charge. • Any further re-sits will incur a charge.
• If payment is required, NEA will contact you to make arrangements.
Important: Where necessary, we will endeavour to extend course deadlines. However, for funded places, any extension must remain within the timescales and conditions of the relevant funding programme. Most programmes operate on a financial year basis (1 April to 31 March), and funding cannot be carried forward into the following year. Therefore, all funded training and assessment activity must be completed by the end of the financial year in which the place was booked. Please note that assessments completed after the agreed deadline or outside the funding programme may be charged.

Not-for-Profit Organisations
• Simulation only: £55 + VAT
• Simulation & Open Book Assessment: £90 + VAT*


Commercial Organisations
• Simulation only: £110 + VAT
• Simulation & Open Book Assessment: £180 + VAT*


* Open Book Assessment re-sits must be booked separately from the simulation assessment.
CERTIFICATE FEE

A certificate fee may apply where certification was not included in the original course fee, particularly where a funded programme has ended before certification is issued.
PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS

Where applicable, NEA will confirm any assessment, re-sit or certificate fees and arrange payment before the assessment takes place.

CANCELLATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The exam fee is generally included in the overall course fee. As outlined in the main course booking form, the following cancellation periods / charges will apply should the learner wish to cancel their chosen exam date once booked:
· Less than one weeks notice 75% of the fee will be payable
· Less than three weeks notice 50% of the fee will be payable
· Over three weeks notice will not incur a charge
· FUNDED PLACE – If you have been awarded a funded assessment place directly through National Energy Action (NEA), the standard cancellation fees outlined above do not apply. However, a fee to re-book onto a new date may be charged, particularly where no or little notice is provided.
· Repeated cancellations, late cancellations, and non-attendance may lead to the candidate or service becoming liable for assessment fees, regardless of whether the original assessment was funded. · Resit assessments resulting from confirmed plagiarism may also incur additional charges.
If are unable to attend, please advise NEA at least three weeks prior to the exam date so your place can be re-allocated. Failure to do so can impact on funding and we may be unable to re-book a funded exam place for you. Cancellations should be made in writing.

If requested, National Energy Action would like to share your exam result with the organisation that booked you on to this course (i.e. your training provider/employer) for the purposes of processing/supporting your learning.
