Decarbonising Homes: Technologies, Impacts and Solutions CQ11527 (Level 4)
E-LEARNING COURSE
FUNDED MODULES
With the launch of the Warm Homes Plan, organisations across the sector will play a vital role in delivering large‑scale home energy improvements and supporting households through the transition to low‑carbon living.
Ensuring this transition is fair and inclusive is particularly important for fuel-poor and vulnerable households, who may face additional barriers to accessing and benefiting from new technologies. To support households effectively, frontline workers need the knowledge, skills and confidence to understand decarbonisation measures, explain their impacts, and help residents make informed decisions that improve both energy affordability and comfort.
Our level 4 Decarbonisation qualification gives professionals the skills, tools and practical knowledge to help people choose the right solutions for their home, understand different tariffs and make technologies work for them and their lifestyles.
This Level 4 course equips your team to:
- Understand a full range of retrofit solutions – insulation, heating systems, renewables and more
- Assess what works best in different homes
- Support residents with technology use, behaviour change and energy costs
- Navigate tariffs, funding options and consumer considerations
- Link practical delivery to policy, fuel poverty and net zero goal
Funded places
The full Decarbonising Homes: Technologies, Impacts and Solutions course consists of eight e-learning modules, each supported by an assessment.
For a limited time, we are offering fully funded places on the three modules listed below.
Funding is available to staff and volunteers working for non-commercial and not-for-profit organisations in England and Wales, including local authorities, housing associations, community organisations and advice agencies. To be eligible, learners must be in a frontline role that involves supporting or advising households that are living in, or at risk of, fuel poverty.
Learners can apply for funding to complete one, two or all three funded modules. Those wishing to achieve the full qualification can enrol on the remaining modules separately.
