Help families in fuel poverty this summer
For the 6 million children living in fuel poverty, this summer won’t be filled with summer trips and carefree memories. Instead, families across the UK will struggle to cover basic energy costs, even in the summer.
Over the school holidays there are more mouths to feed, clothes to wash and fans to run. Parents are trying their best to make ends meet, but a rise in energy bills can be the difference between coping and crisis.

Across the UK, there are millions of families living in fuel poverty.
We asked some of our clients what they struggled with during the summer, this is what they told us:
I do not have enough income to pay for electricity, and at the same time I needed food. Sometimes I sleep dark without electric until the morning and rely on borrowings.
