How your support helps

Your support makes a real difference in helping vulnerable people live with dignity

The impact of your support

Our work is only possible thanks to generous donations from donors and fundraisers like you. We are so grateful for the support of individuals, community groups and companies who share our vision of ending fuel poverty.

Together, we can ensure that no one has to suffer the consequences of living in a cold home. Your support makes a real difference in helping vulnerable people live with dignity, warmth, and improved health.

These are some of the areas of our work directly funded by donations and grants.

Energy Advice and Support Service

Our energy advice and support services are at the heart of our work. Trained Energy Advisers provide one-on-one guidance to people struggling with high energy bills. They offer practical tips to reduce usage, signpost access to emergency funds, and support with switching tariffs or providers.

This service is often a lifeline for those living in fuel poverty, empowering them to take back control and reduce the cost of heating their homes. Through your donations, you help deliver this critical service to more households every day.

Winter Warmth Support Packs

A cold home can quickly become a crisis. The elderly, families with young children, or people with long-term health conditions are most at risk. Our Winter Warmth Support Packs provide immediate relief, offering items such as thermal blankets, LED bulbs, hot drinks, draught excluders, and more.

Your donations help us to purchase these essential items. They are packed up by volunteers and given directly to households in greatest need. Each pack costs £50–£80 to produce and distribute. Last winter, we were able to deliver over 3,000 Winter Warmth Support Packs. This year, we’re aiming to raise even more, to help as many vulnerable people as possible.

Community Engagement and Outreach

Our local Energy Advisers deliver outreach and educational sessions across communities, offering expert energy advice and support to those who need it most. From rural villages to urban centres, they help clients make long-term improvements to the way they manage energy.

Whether advising at a community centre or visiting homes in person, they are a vital resource in helping break the cycle of fuel poverty. When you donate, you help us expand these services and reach more communities across the UK.

Corporate Partnerships

Collaborations with businesses are integral to expanding our reach and impact. Corporate partners contribute through financial support, employee volunteering, and awareness campaigns. Our work wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of our corporate partners.

These partnerships fund essential programmes and make it possible to distribute Winter Warmth Support Packs. They help fund national campaigns, deliver local projects, and scale up training programmes.

‘I felt really miserable and freezing cold. Last Christmas I had to choose heating and food over presents for my grandchild. I had to have food bank parcels.’
