Walk for Warmth this winter
Join National Energy Action for our annual Walk for Warmth on Saturday 20 February 2027! This family-fun event is dedicated to raising awareness and life-changing funds to tackle fuel poverty across the UK. Whether you’re joining one of our guided walk in Newcastle or hosting your own walk in your local area – get together with friends, family and colleagues and join Team NEA to Walk for Warmth!
Details for our Newcastle walk:
Starting at One Strawberry Lane, we’ll take in some of the city’s best sights, walking past Grey’s monument and through through the glorious Exhibition Park and Leazes Park. We’ll then walk through St James’ Park, before finishing up with a hot drink and some tasty snacks at the end.

If you can’t make our Newcastle walk, you can hold your own Walk for Warmth in your area anytime throughout February. We’ll send you out a pack with everything you need to plan and host a fun-filled walk, and make it a day to remember!
