Review of the Electricity Guaranteed Standards of Service and Overall Standards of Performance Consultation

NEA NI welcomes the proposed updates, which strengthen consumer protections, clarify the responsibilities of suppliers and distributors, and increase compensation levels to better reflect consumer impact.

We stress that the protections must work effectively for vulnerable and low-income households, particularly during severe weather events, and caution against any approach that may place additional costs onto consumers.
