SESSION DETAILS

1) Student Workshop – Energy in Mind

This 2-hour workshop for students outlines the production of energy and considers how this impacts the environment. Learners will discuss ways of saving electricity and consider dangers associated with their use of energy in the home. The workshop explores the different uses of insulation to maintain warmth and identifies practical steps towards changing energy-related behaviours.

2) Staff Training and CPD

Funded training is available for staff to complete via online webinar or through a dedicated whole staff CPD session. The training will provide insight into the impact of living in cold homes due to fuel poverty on expectant individuals and children. It will cover the health, educational, and social impacts, supported by research. The training will also provide practical energy efficiency advice and upskill educators on how to signpost families to relevant referral pathways.
We offer a programme of online webinar dates. Staff can sign up to the online webinar here.
