Fuel poverty is often spoken about in statistics, policy language, or household‑level impacts. Far less visible is the daily reality of what it means for children — how cold, damp and poorly heated homes shape their health, confidence, friendships, and ability to learn — and how schools are increasingly left to shoulder the consequences.
