Utility Regulator’s draft Forward Work Programme 2025-2026 Consultation

NEA NI outlines broad support for the Utility Regulator’s draft Forward Work Programme (FWP) 2025-2026, agreeing that it prioritises the right projects and provides a good balance between projects addressing immediate consumer protection concerns and longer-term sustainability and energy security.

However, we raise concerns about the absence of a clear project on developing the evidence base for an energy social tariff and call for stronger focus on affordability for vulnerable households. We also recommend close collaboration with the NI Executive on the implementation of the forthcoming new Fuel Poverty Strategy for NI.
