Re-sit Bookings

HOW WILL THE 6281-01 ONLINE ASSESSMENT WORK?

For online assessment participants will require a quiet room and TWO separate electronic devices with internet access, sound and a video camera. Both devices must connect to Zoom (video conferencing platform). Device one will be used to connect to Zoom for the exam to be invigilated (this could be a computer, tablet or mobile phone) and device two will be used to access the online exam forms (this could be a computer or tablet).

ASSESSMENT OUTLINE

The online assessment is split into the following three sections, learners will only need to re-sit the section(s) they previously failed:

PAPER 1 (85 minutes)

  • Home Heating
  • Bills, Meters and Paying for Fuel

PAPER 2 (75 minutes)

  • Cutting Down Heat Loss
  • Condensation and Dampness

SUMULATION (30 minutes)

  • Setting central heating programmers
  • Energy advisor role-play

6281-01 RE-SIT ASSESSMENT DATES

If you received a funded course place from NEA, the first re-sit will also be funded if taken before the end of the funding period (this is usually 31st March but but may differ, learners will be advised). Any other re-sits will be be charged at the rates outlined below.

If you received a funded place, the cost of the first re-sit will also be funded if taken within the timeframe of the project. Most projects run per financial year (1st April – 31 March) however, some may be different in which case, learners will be advised of the deadline. Any re-sits taken after the end of the project or additional re-sits will be charged as per the above fees. If you are unsure, please check with NEA.

If you are paying to re-sit after the end of a funded programme, an additional charge of £42 plus VAT may apply for the City & Guilds certificate (this amount is generally included in the original course fee however, if the funded programme has ended, this amount will not be covered). If you are unsure, please check with NEA.

  • INVOICE DETAILS (if required)

  • The details provided in this section will be used to issue an invoice. Please provide the relevant finance / accounts payable contact details and if needed, a purchase order number to ensure prompt payment. All fields are mandatory so add ‘N/A’ if needed.
