| PROJECT SUMMARY: |
This project will evaluate the battery storage in 7 sheltered properties owned and run by Valleys to Coast Housing (V2C). These sheltered properties already have solar PV installed and will have battery storage installed to store generated power from the solar PV installations.The project will evaluate the effectiveness of the battery storage units in saving money on energy bills for V2C and their sheltered property tenants. |
| EVALUATION METHODOLOGY: |
V2C will provide before and after meter readings for all 7 sheltered properties and take manual monthly meter readings in each property over the course of the project to assess whether installing battery storage units lowers the cost of energy at the sheltered properties. |
| PROJECT OUTCOMES: |
This scheme will inform interested parties of the impact of battery storage use alongside solar PV and assess whether it is effective in lowering electricity bills. |
