Tackling the Cold

This half day course is aimed at frontline staff working in local authorities, housing associations and third sector organisations that come into contact with vulnerable and low income groups who are at risk from living in cold homes. The course will enable frontline staff to identify those most at risk and provide basic advice about how householders can protect themselves against the impacts of the cold

Aimed at frontline staff and volunteers this course will make delegates aware of the definitions of vulnerability used in the energy sector and how to identify those who are at risk of finding themselves in vulnerable situations. It will also explain fuel poverty, the how to identify those at risk and the impacts of living in a cold home.

Aimed at partners signed up to the Smart Meters in Communities programme, this one-day training course will equip trainees with the knowledge and action plan to spread the word about smart meters and their benefits – both internally to your wider teams and, most importantly, externally to your clients.
