NEA Northern Ireland

E-Learning/Online Assessment

Level 3 Award in Energy

Awareness 6281-01

How will the online learning course work?

Delegates will have access to the course for 5-6 weeks and be able to study online at a time and location that is convenient to them. They will also receive a set of support documents including mock exam papers, activities and handouts to keep for future reference along with a copy of the Energy Advice in the Home textbook.
At the end of the 6 weeks of training delegates will sit the exam remotely with an NEA registered examiner. Further details will be provided.

Support

We will also support the learning process with a live weekly session with the Tutor which will be arranged via Zoom.

Suggested Study Time

We recommend a minimum of 20 hours to complete the course and prepare for the exam, however, each learner is different, and e-learning offers the flexibility to study at your own pace.

How will the assessment work?

Learners must attend an exam session observed by an NEA registered examiner.

For online exams participants will require a quiet room and two separate electronic devices with internet access, sound, and a video camera. Both devices must contact to Zoom (video conferencing platform). Device one will be used to connect to Zoom for the exam to be invigilated (this could be a computer, tablet or mobile phone) and device two will be used to access the online exam forms (this could be a computer or tablet). Full details on how to join the online exam will be provided.

The online assessment is split into the following three sections and candidates should set aside a full day for the exam:
