Enhancing knowledge and understanding of energy efficiency in the community
NEA has teamed up with EDF Energy and partners, to deliver a new ‘Improving Energy Efficiency in Communities‘ project which aims to reduce the wider impacts of fuel poverty for households in 3 target areas across England.
NEA is working with a host of local organisations to offer bespoke energy awareness training to assist practitioners to better identify and assist households who struggle to manage their energy needs and maintain a warm and healthy home. To complement this activity NEA is working with organisations to offer local energy advice surgeries to help service users to better manage their energy use, access appropriate tariff and payment options, insulation and heating schemes, income maximisation, money and debt advice services. Practitioners and service users also benefit from bespoke information resources which signpost available national service provision.
As part of EDF Energy’s commitment to provide a more holistic service, EDF customers accessing NEA advice services can also benefit from the range of services under its personalised support service, which includes Warm Home Discount rebates, debt advice and trust fund grants to name a few.Published on 22-07-2016
