Full of Energy Schools Assembly Song Book and ‘Big Sing’ performance
The ‘Full of Energy’ Schools Assembly Song Book was devised with KS2 children in six West End Learning Trust Schools in Newcastle. There was a performance celebration in the form of a ‘Big Sing’ with 420 children and an audience of their parents at Newcastle Tyne Theatre in March 2017.
The ‘Big Sing’ event was an opportunity for pupils to perform the suite of seven songs to exploring themes of fuel poverty and saving energy. The seven pieces have been written by Ken Patterson and Richard Scott from 4 Corners Music Network, in West End Trust primary school classrooms.
The theme song ‘Full of Energy’ can be downloaded for assemblies alongside the other songs with themes of smart meters, health, entitlement to warm homes, renewable energies, ecology and pollution; e.g. ‘Keep it Smart’ and ‘Be Aware of the Polar Bear’.
Click on ‘Play the Music’ to hear the tracks and to download the 20 page book with scores and information about the songs.
