Launch of NEA NI’s New Fuel Poverty Action Guide
The Fuel Poverty Action Guide was officially launched by Steven Agnew MLA at the Long Gallery, Parliament Buildings on Tuesday 26 June 2018.
The guide works as a tool to assist politicians and frontline workers in the community assist fuel poor households. Sections navigate grants and initiatives, paying for energy and extra help for vulnerable customers. In addition there are a number of useful contacts and websites.
The event was attended by a range of stakeholders including MLAs, Healthcare professionals, Utility organisations and the community and voluntary sector. A presentation was provided by Robert Clements, Sustainable Development Manager with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive highlighting the main findings from the latest House Condition Survey.
