Forces for Warmth
We are working in partnership with The Royal British Legion (an armed forces charity that provides lifelong support to the forces community) to run a project called Forces for Warmth in regions across England and Wales. This seeks to help relieve some of the issues faced by veterans, service personnel or their dependant families who might be struggling to afford to heat their home and/or are in arrears with their gas and electricity.
As part of this project in Wales, we are looking to provide a limited number of free training courses to frontline staff who are in a position to support such households, and/or interactive energy awareness sessions with existing groups of their service users and beneficiaries. This is to raise awareness of the energy-related help and assistance that is available and where they can seek further support as required.
