National Energy Action (NEA) provide the secretariat for the APPG Fuel Poverty & Energy Efficiency in Parliament. Chaired by Ben Lake MP and with cross-party membership, the APPG exists to raise awareness of fuel poverty among Parliamentarians, monitor progress against Government targets and advocate policies that deliver affordable warmth for vulnerable households and improve energy efficiency. The group meets regularly throughout the year and coordinates a range of parliamentary activity to raise awareness of fuel poverty and energy efficiency. Letter to government on ECO

The APPG wrote to Government ahead of the price cap rise in February to call for greater financial support for fuel poor households. The group also urged Government to maintain funding for ECO , the main programme for energy efficiency, to support 150,000 fuel poor households in the first two years with vital energy efficiency installations to permanently reduce bills.
