Getting Energy Markets Right for Vulnerable Customers

NEA one-day conference, 25 January 2022
Supported by Utilita

The cost of energy is rising. The support that exists for people struggling with their day-to-day energy costs is welcome, but often neither good enough, nor available when needed. Households can be failed by the lotteries of postcode, platform, tenure, or circumstance. Those lotteries, and the gaps in provision that people fall through, need to be closed.

On 25 January 2022, supported by Utilita, NEA will bring together our supporters and stakeholders for a one-day event to discuss how to get retail markets right for vulnerable customers. Leading speakers on retail markets will be invited from across policy and practice to share their views and experiences. Attendees are expected to include representatives from national and local Government, housing associations, charities, advice agencies, manufacturers, installers, and others working to support vulnerable energy customers.

As a long-time supporter of the charity, Utilita is delighted to be sponsoring the National Energy Action Conference to be held in London early in the new year.

Sadly, the stark adage – heat or eat – has never been more relevant.

The global energy crisis has left millions of the nation’s households more vulnerable than ever to a cold winter, so it’s timely that NEA is bringing key stakeholders together to explore how we can ensure that help reaches those most in need.

We look forward to seeing you in January
