NEA Cymru Welsh Language Policy
NEA is committed to accessibility in all formats. This scheme refers specifically to the Welsh Language and other language issues are covered in the organisations Equal Opportunities Policy.
NEA Cymru supports the principle that in the conduct of public business in Wales, it will treat Welsh and English on an equal basis and our long term aim is to be able to offer as comprehensive a Welsh language service as our limited resources will allow. We recognise that enabling individuals to access our services in their preferred language is a matter of both good practice and equity. This scheme sets out how we will implement the provision of Welsh language to service users of NEA in Wales.

Welsh Language Scheme Consultation
We'd like to invite the public to take part in a consultation on our brand new Welsh Language Scheme. In order to respect of the language choices of our service users, NEA has adopted the principle that in the conduct of public business in Wales, it will treat the English and Welsh languages on a basis of equality. The scheme sets out how we will give effect to that principle when providing services to the public.
The voluntary scheme has been prepared in accordance with the Welsh Language Board's Guidelines under the Welsh Language Act 1993, and it is hoped it will be formally approved by the Welsh Language Board following the consultation process.
