Warm & Safe at Home seminar: 9.30am-1.00pm (followed by lunch)
NEA is running a series of half-day seminars in June looking at current policies and initiatives that need to join up to deliver warmer, healthier, safer homes in England.
The seminars will provide an overview of the current policy landscape with input from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), Ofgem and NEA. A key focus will be on shaping the Energy Company Obligation post 2018, enabling NEA to gain insight from members and supporters to help shape the new scheme.
The events will also include an examination of current approaches to housing standards and enforcement, and share the findings from the rapid gas appliance repair pilot and new research into carbon monoxide safety. There will be the opportunity for further discussion, networking and questions.
The events are free to attend and will be suitable for anyone who is involved in tackling cold homes locally and nationally, including representatives from the energy industry, local authorities, housing associations, and agencies assisting vulnerable people with their energy needs. A complimentary lunch will also be available after the morning seminars and before the afternoon seminars.
South West Fuel Poverty Forum (1.45pm-3.00pm)
The South West Fuel Poverty Forum will take place after lunch at 1.45-3pm. If you do not wish to attend the morning seminar, you are welcome to attend the forum only and enjoy a complimentary lunch
