Resource Family Learning on Accessible Terms
The Refloat project is funded by the Department of Energy and Climate Change. The main aim is to work with schools in deprived areas of the UK. A key target is to ensure that good quality energy awareness advice gets to families via children. With this in mind NEA has run a number of sessions for children and family members. A comic style energy awareness magazine is produced, along with good tips about saving energy and availability of grants.
As part of our Refloat school project a range of lesson ideas have been put together. The main focus is on active learning whether it is in the form of drama, scientific experiment or design opportunities. Additionally, a section is included with links to resources available elsewhere that may be of use when studying the topic of energy awareness. We regularly adapt and add to the resource so any suggestions/feedback would be extremely useful.
