Energy Advice Support Service

This project is now completed

NEA is currently working with Northern Gas Networks on a pilot project to provide an energy advice service to vulnerable and fuel poor households across Tyneside.

Northern Gas Networks

The Energy Advice Support Service is six month pilot project (July-December 2016) which is engaging with community sector agencies to offer a range of energy awareness and energy advice services to their service users.  This comprises both one-to-one and group energy advice surgeries and awareness sessions.  The service is also operating an energy advice line on 0191 269 2927 for the duration of the project which service users can use to seek advice (a call-back facility will operate if advisers are out of office delivering events).

NEA advisers are providing bespoke energy advice on a range of topics to assist individuals to manage their energy use, access better energy deals and take advantage of utility and other schemes and services to help them achieve a warmer more energy efficient home.  NEA will be working with other partners to refer on those needing specialist income maximisation, money advice and generic debt advice as part of the service.

For further information on the Energy Advice Support Service and energy advice sessions contact NEA Project Co-ordinators, Maureen Fildes (Tel: 0191 269 2929) or Lesley Tudor-Snodin (Tel: 0191 269 2924).
