2015 – NEA NI Energy Advice Forum

The Energy Advice Forum was held on Thursday 5th March 2105 at the Meet at the Mill, Newtownabbey Borough Council.

The forum is for strategic policy makers and front line energy advisers. The forum provides networking opportunities and it also helps NEA to shape policy developments and campaigns.

‘The Energy Market in Northern Ireland’

As business editor for UTV and U105 Radio, Jamie Delargy covers all the big stories in the industrial and commercial world.  Last year Jamie launched a new website, enirgy.info.  It identifies the cheapest tariffs offered by the four electricity suppliers in Northern Ireland and offers local consumers the opportunity to reduce their costs.  Over the years Jamie has made the subject of energy an area of special interest.

 

Dawn Murphy | Action Renewables

‘The Renewable Heat Incentive’

Dawn Murphy is Project Manager for the MCS certification department of Action Renewables. She is also responsible for Quality Management and website development. Dawn previously worked as an environmental consultant and holds a masters degree in Environmental Management, is an associate member and registered environmental auditor with the Institute of Environmental Management and assessment. Raymond Gormley | Bryson Energy

‘Oil Buying Clubs’

Raymond Gormley is Oil Club Manager at Bryson Energy which has been appointed to establish a network of twenty-seven Oil Buying Clubs in Northern Ireland.  The clubs are designed to help consumers reduce their costs by purchasing their oil in bulk as part of a group.  By combining orders, the coordinator can negotiate a lower price per litre on behalf of the members rather than them ordering oil individually.

 

Jamie Boyd | Glen Dimplex

‘The Quantum Energy Heating System’

Jamie Boyd is Renewables and Installed Heating Manager at Glen Dimplex Northern Ireland which is located in Craigavon and is part of the Glen Dimplex Group that spans four continents.  The Group’s product development programme is directed at ensuring products are of the highest standard of innovation, design, safety and efficiency.
