Places are still available on these free half day seminars looking at the role of housing providers in developing energy service companies (ESCos).
- 9 February 2010 - Newmarket Racecourse
- 23 February 2010 - Innovation Centre, University of Exeter
- 2 March 2010 - Rheged, Penrith
The seminars will examine ESCos and how their replication can address hard-to-treat homes and benefit communities in remote rural areas using low carbon solutions - including first hand testimony from representatives of established ESCos. The seminars are part of a project originally funded through the Innovation and Good Practice programme by the Housing Corporation (now Tenant Services Authority). Each seminar starts at 9.00am finishing with lunch at approx 1pm.
The events will cover a range of issues relating to the development of ESCos and provide opportunities to discuss the culmination of work carried out by Impact Housing Association that has looked in depth at innovation and good practice in this area. The seminars will also look at the legal issues involved in their development and provide an understanding of why particular routes were chosen.
The seminars, delivered by NEA in association with Impact Housing Association, will be of interest to housing organisations and anyone interested in the wide range of benefits of the ESCo model.
To reserve a place at one of the seminars, please email: Zoe Bradford giving your full name, job title and postal address and highlighting any facility or dietary requirements that you may have. An email will be forwarded as confirmation of your place. You will then receive joining instructions prior to the event.
