European Fuel Poverty and Energy Efficiency

NEA has been involved in a project to assess the scale of fuel poverty and how well this issue is understood in a number of European countries.  Working in partnership with agencies from the UK, France, Italy, Spain and Belgium, in a project known collectively as the EPEE project, the main purpose of the partnership's work was to raise the profile of fuel poverty in countries where the issue is barely recognised and to see if a common European approach could be developed to defining and resolving the problems faced by low-income energy consumers.
