Between 2010 and 2013 NEA is working in partnership with Calor, the Rural Community Action Network and the Commission for Rural Communities to reduce levels of fuel poverty and carbon emissions in off-grid areas by delivering FREE. The Future of Rural Energy in Europe is a three-year initiative which will run in rural communities across England, Scotland and Wales. The project will target rural areas across the UK with highest rates of rural fuel poverty. We will be visiting rural communities and holding energy roadshows where householders can obtain information and advice about energy efficiency, new technologies, grant availability and reducing heat loss in homes.
