What is Big Energy Week?
Big Energy Week is a Government sponsored campaign coordinated by Citizens Advice to help consumers find ways of cutting their energy bills this winter. From the 16th to the 21st of January Citizens Advice will be running Energy Best Deal workshops at hundreds of events around the country, while Fuel Debt advice will be given through Citizens Advice centres. The events will be held in shopping centres and other public venues, with suppliers and switching websites attending. Big Energy Week will also be supported by the regulator Ofgem and the watchdog Consumer Focus.
Big Energy Week is a good opportunity for everyone to review their energy usage to find ways to save money. We urge readers to spread the word so that as many people as possible will be involved and can benefit in finding ways to cut energy costs.
As part of our support for the campaign National Energy Action will be publishing their Fuel Poverty Action Guide and Four Steps to Affordable Warmth documents which are avaialble to download here.
