National Energy Action (NEA) and Energy Action Scotland have launched the Warm Homes Campaign Award Scheme 2007, supported by eaga.
The scheme will provide around 10 grants of up to £500 to assist not for profit and statutory organisations to organise an event during NEA and EAS Warm Homes Campaign, which is taking place in England, Wales and Scotland towards the end of November. The campaign will raise awareness of fuel poverty issues and the work being done on a local level to promote affordable warmth.
Maria Wardrobe, Acting Director of Communications at NEA, said: We are delighted to launch this award scheme and are grateful for the support of eaga.
It is a great opportunity to raise awareness of the problem of achieving affordable warmth faced by vulnerable customers and struggling families.
The deadline for applications is September 24, 2007, with events due to take place at the end of November this year. Further information and application forms are available from www.nea.org.uk or from Sarah Fraser, on (0191 2615677), or email sarah.fraser@nea.org.uk
