The Heat is On

NEA has produced this interactive DVD with funding from npower Health Through Warmth to promote energy efficiency and affordable warmth.

This DVD, with a soundtrack in fifteen different languages, will hopefully encourage you to save money, save energy and help protect your environment.

Many people experience not only the problems associated with fuel poverty but face language difficulties that prevent them accessing the information they need to keep warm and well.

This can put them at greater risk of contracting cold-related illnesses. The Heat is On will provide the encouragement and assistance you need to make improvements to both your home and the way you think about using and saving energy.

A series of regional launch events have been held . Free copies of the DVD continue to be available from Saran Jarvie at our Coventry office.

Meeting the energy needs of the Deaf

A separate DVD, also available in VCR videocassette format has been produced for individuals who communicate using British Sign Language.

NEA worked with the British Deaf Association to come up with a useful resource on home energy efficiency.

Sub-titles and an English soundtrack are also used on this 24 minutes long presentation
