NEA POLICY BRIEFING: NATIONAL ENERGY EFFICIENCY HOUSING SCHEME

Picture of snowy house

The Case for a Single National Energy Efficiency Housing Scheme (February 2008)

NEA is calling for a single national housing scheme as the most effective way to deliver energy efficiency improvements to existing homes. This would take into account people’s ability to contribute financially and would be available to all households. It would be funded by merging the resources of the existing energy efficiency schemes. The energy suppliers’ obligation would be reduced to a simple financial contribution.
