
NEA is a membership organisation whose members include local authorities, housing association, health agencies, charities and community groups and contracted installers through Warm Front or energy provider schemes.
NEA relies on its members, both as a source of income and for support in achieving its aims and objectives.
By becoming a member you will be entitled to the following benefits:
- 25% discount on training courses, publications and conference fees; (state you’re a member when making the request for any of these services and quote your membership number)
- FREE subscription to Energy Action, NEA's journal published three times a year and NEAtoday magazine; (you should be receiving these as a matter of course – if you are not please let us know)
- Free monthly members’ email giving you the most up to date information on fuel poverty policy, research, projects and events. (if you have given your email you should again be receiving these as a matter of course)
- Access to free information on excess winter death figures and estimated fuel poverty figures for local authority districts and wards. (contact us with details of the area you want figures for and your request will be passed onto our research team).
- Access to the members area of the NEA website
Membership rates: April 2010 - March 2011
- Standard rate (England & Wales) - £275 + VAT
- Lower rate* (England & Wales) - £69 + VAT
- Standard rate (Northern Ireland) - £162 + VAT
- Lower rate* (Northern Ireland - £44 + VAT
* Lower rate is open to small community and voluntary groups with a turnover less than £250,000 per annum. Standard rate applies to all other organisations.
* Only voluntary and not-for-profit organisations have voting rights at NEA's AGM.
